I prefer Merry Christmas ... (Keep Christ in Christmas!) But, like most others have said, if you know someone who is from another faith, then by all means, say something else! I think people should say what you feel comfortable and should not be obliged to say Happy Holidays or Happy Holidays. This is a free and seems less and less .... Too many people are also concerned about being politically correct.

If you know very well that celebrates the person that Christmas, say Merry Christmas. If you are in a business that you say Happy Holidays work wonders, say Happy Holidays. If you know someone who does not celebrate Christmas (or if you are unsure) Happy Holidays is a safe bet. Best wishes to appear on signs and maps, but no one says.

Merry Christmas, if Christmas. If you know for sure that they are of another faith, then do what feels good and say Happy Holidays.

I work with the public, and always seemed more appropriate to say, "Happy Holidays" because you never know what she's famous?
